The Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant's Bluegrass Princess Program is for young ladies age six to twelve. The purpose
of this program is to mentor those young ladies who have an interest in competing someday in the Miss Kentucky Scholarship
Pageant and promoting community service. The Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant contestants will serve as mentors to
the Bluegrass Princesses. All Bluegrass Princesses will participate in some aspect of the stage production at the Miss
Kentucky Scholarship Pageant in July. Also, there will be a special section of the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Program
Book to recognize the Bluegrass Princesses.
The Princesses will have the opportunity as provided by the local pageant director and local titleholder to be a part
of the titleholder's year of service. She is encouraged to go shopping with the local titleholder, attend assemblies
and meetings where the local titleholder will speak and/or perform, exercise with her, etc. The local titleholder is
encouraged to engage her Princess in any activity that she can to make her feel part of her year of service as she prepares
for the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant, as she represents her local pageant at various events throughout the year and as
she promotes her platform and community service.
