On June 29, 2008, Ashley Ferry of Louisville was crowned Miss Kentucky's Outstanding Teen 2008. She is
the daughter of Robert E., Jr. and Linda Ferry and she attends DuPont Manual High School / Youth Performing Arts School.
Ashley's scholastic ambition is to obtain a Master's Degree and become either an engineer, teacher or dancer and do mission
work. Her platform issue is "Bridging the Gap" and her talent is a dance to "It's Oh
So Quiet."
Ashley's favorite TV show is "So You Think You Can Dance" and her favorite food is chicken fingers. The one
thing she can't live without is the support and love of her family and friends. The best advice Ashley has ever received
is to treat others the way that she would want to be treated. Her secret wish is to win "So You Think You Can Dance."
Ashley first became intrested in pursuing dance as a talent as a toddler watching ice-skating on television.
We wish Ashley the best of luck as she prepares to compete at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant which will
be held at the Linda Chapin Theatre in Orlando, Florida, August 12th - 16th.
